Starting the new year on a high

24 Jan 2019

We at the Neurology Academy are dedicated to delivering the very best educational experience to all our clients, whether through one of our MasterClasses, a roadshow or other supportive work.We put our heart into what we do, seeking to ultimately make a difference to people with neurological conditions through the clinicians who support them. It is so rewarding to hear that we’re doing just that, and we began 2019 on a high when we received an email from one of our 2018 MS MasterClass graduates.Dr Jessica Vaz, Associate Specialist in Neurological Medicine in St Helier, Jersey, wrote that the MasterClass has ‘widened my MS knowledge and changed my practice for the best’. She noted that, to have a dedicated mentor has also been of great benefit, sharing that
the mentorship scheme ‘is such a proactive approach to adopt and help places like Jersey, which are remote, to be directed on the right path with patient care.’
She also thanked us for the opportunity that her intermodule project presented which ‘has changed our working pattern in Jersey for the better.’ This project, aiming to optimise treatment for MS patients on disease-modifying treatments (DMTs) by testing for the JC virus (JCV) antibody to help reduce the risk of PML developing, won the runner up award for her MasterClass group.[caption id="attachment_1706" align="alignnone" width="700"] Dr Jessica Vaz with Jackey Spiers and Prof Gavin Giovannoni[/caption]We are thrilled to have helped Jessica to optimise her practice, and are proud that she is part of our community as we start the year, seeking to improve outcomes for people with neurological conditions in 2019.If you are interested in attending one of our MasterClasses as Jessica did, sign up for our next MS Intermediate course in June, or you can find out more about all our MS courses via the button below:MS MasterClasses
