Ailsa Willens leads the highly specialised services clinical commissioning team for NHS England which includes responsibility for a portfolio of over 80 highly specialised services. Ailsa and her team work closely with providers and clinical teams across the country to support delivery of high-quality care for children and adults with rare conditions. Ailsa also plays an important role in oversight of Rare Disease Collaborative Networks, the rollout of new innovative therapies and delivery of priorities set out in the Government’s Rare Diseases Action Plan.
