Ann Marie Jones has been in third sector management since 1986 and chief executive of Age UK Trafford since 2000. Academically she has three degrees: an honours degree in law (MMU), a Master of Laws degree (LLM) Warwick University, and a Master of Business Administration Degree (MBA) (OU).

Her experience during 35 years as a third sector manager includes managing a crisis team in the aftermath of a major flood disaster, representing clients at benefit appeal tribunals, industrial tribunals, in County Court for debt arrangements including bankruptcy, and Criminal Injury Appeals. She developed successful projects such as a home visiting scheme to complete disability benefit application forms, and legal aid franchises for both debt and welfare benefits.

While at Age UK Trafford, amongst other things, she has been responsible for developing successful projects with Department of Health, Department of Work and Pensions, Financial Services Authority, Skills for Care, Trafford Council, Trafford CCG and a range of voluntary sector partners.

She was responsible for the development of the organisation’s dementia services including MCI support.
