Dr Czarina Kirk
Czarina is a Consultant Neuropsychiatrist at the Forensic Brain Injury Service at Guild Lodge, Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Trust, in Preston, UK. This is a service that provides secure brain injury rehabilitation within a Forensic Mental Health framework. It is the only NHS service of its kind. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. Czarina is also Vice Chair of the Neuropsychiatry Faculty at the Royal College of Psychiatrists and has been involved in a number of projects, including Quality Network for Neuropsychiatry, integrating mental health care in neurology and neuro-rehabilitation, training and curriculum reviews to include neuropsychiatric conditions, suicide prevention etc.
She is involved in the RCPsych committees for Workforce and Policy and Public Affairs. Czarina is an affiliate member of the Neurology Clinical Reference Group in the UK. She is a member of the strategy team of the ABI Justice Network – sub-group of the ABI All Party Parliamentary Group. I have won a number of awards within my Trust for leadership and raising our profile. Czarina is a committee member of UKABIF North West and has supported UKABIF and Headway UK in delivering training to their members and stakeholders, in particular as regards mental illness in the context of neurological conditions.
