Dr Jennifer Spillane
Jennifer completed her undergraduate and core years training in Cork, Ireland before moving to London in 2009 to do her PhD at the Institute of Neurology, Queen Square investigating autoimmune disorders of the neuromuscular junction. She completed her Neurology specialist training at the Royal Free London and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery before taking up a consultant neurologist post at the NHNN, UCLH and Guys and St Thomas’ in 2018 .
Jennifer is the clinical lead for plasma exchange and is one of three neurologists attached to the neurocritical care unit at the NHNN. She does a weekly myasthenia gravis clinic and a weekly neuromuscular clinic. Her areas of interest include refractory MG and related disorder of the neuromuscular junction, congenital myasthenic syndromes, acquired neuromuscular disorders and neurocritical care.
