Dr Steffi Jírů-Hillmann
Dr Steffi Jírů-Hillmann is a Research Associate at the Institute of Clinical Epidemiology and Biometry at the University of Würzburg, Germany. She qualified in Health Management (B.Sc.) at the West Saxon University of Applied Sciences of Zwickau in 2010 and completed her Master of Science in Public Health at the University of Applied Sciences Fulda in 2012. Since 2013, she has been a scientific staff member at the University of Würzburg.
Her research focuses on registry-based analysis, health services research, and quality management. She provided the methodological framework and evaluation for the "TRANSIT-Stroke" project, analysing the quality of stroke care in rural networks. While her earlier work centred on clinical quality indicators, her research increasingly addresses the patient perspective, including the analysis of positive and negative experiences of family caregivers after stroke and patient preferences for drug therapy. Currently, she is involved in the planning of a stroke cohort within the Network University Medicine (NUM). This project intends to integrate the ICHOM Set of Patient-Centered Outcome Measures for Stroke, thereby directly linking her expertise in quality assurance with Value-Based Health Care strategies and PROMs. Additionally, she supports the methodology team for the German S3 guidelines for breast cancer.
