Prof Anette Schrag

Anette Schrag is Consultant Neurologist and Professor of Clinical Neurosciences at the Institute of Neurology, University College London. For over two decades she has worked on clinical, translational and epidemiological aspects of Parkinson’s disease. One of her key interests have been the neuropsychiatric aspects of PD, particularly depressive features, and she has recently been leadinga large EU-funded study on the Mechanisms of Anxiety in PD. This includes clinical, psychological and imaging aspects of the anxiety in PD, with a focus on ultimately improving recognition and treatment of Anxiety in PD.

She has also been involved in the development of a number of outcome measures for motor and non-motor aspects of Parkinson’s disease, and is currently Vice-chair of the MDS Non-motor Symptoms Study Group as well as Chair-Elect of the MDS European Section.
