Dr Tarunya Arun

Dr Tarunya Arun is consultant MS neurologist and the Research Lead for neurology at the University Hospitals of Coventry and Warwickshire. Dr Arun was previously Consultant Neurologist at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and Kettering general hospital. She completed her specialist training in neurology from the Oxford Deanery and obtained subspecialist training in neuro-inflammation from Oxford and London.

In 2010 she was awarded doctorate for her work that used novel MRI techniques to study brain function in patients with MS at the FMRIB centre, University of Oxford.

Dr Arun has a special interest in neuroinflammatory disease, and she is the Chair of the Neuroinflammatory Special Interest Group of the Association of British Neurologists and member of the UK registries and trials consortium. She has been a clinical adviser

Her research interests include Multiple sclerosis treatments and imaging and Neurosarcoidosis. She is the principal investigator on a number of multicentre centre trials and has worked with the Warwick Clinical trials Team as a Clinical Advisor for recent NICE MS treatment technology appraisals. She has a number of publications in peer reviewed journals.

She is mum to two young boys and enjoys hill walking, dance if all its forms and travel.
