Jo Anderson

Director for Scotland, MS Society

Jo has dedicated nearly 30 years to the charity sector, driven by a deep belief in its power to create positive change. She recently joined the MS Society as Director for Scotland, where she leads efforts to support people affected by multiple sclerosis. Throughout her career, Jo has held senior roles in several health-focused organisations, including Cancer Research UK, the Migraine Trust, and most recently, SAMH (Scottish Action for Mental Health), where she served as a Director for 13 years. Her work has spanned public affairs, communications, campaigning, and leading national behaviour change programmes on issues such as suicide prevention, young people’s mental health, anti-stigma initiatives, and physical activity.

Jo and her team are currently focused on expanding the support available to people living with MS in Scotland—ensuring more individuals can access and benefit from the MS Society’s information, services, and support.
