Deborah qualified in medicine at Leicester University in 1995. She has worked as a GP in Kings Langley since 1999. As well as day to day General Practice she has an interest in women's health, diabetes and is the practice safeguarding lead.

A spontaneous CSF leak in 2021 lead to a special interest in headache medicine. She trained with the National Migraine Centre and has been providing weekly sessions for them since as a GPwER.

She has recently started as a GPwER in headache for West Herts Hospitals Trust.
