Katie Brennan

Dr Katie Brennan qualified from University of Glasgow and undertook neurology training in the West of Scotland which included a PhD under supervision of Hugh Willison looking at glycolipid antibodies in neurological disease. After CCT she spent 2 years in the US working with the inherited neuropathy team in Iowa led by Mike Shy. As of 2016 she has have been back in the West of Scotland working as a consultant neurologist and honorary senior lecturer at the University of Glasgow and holds a NRS fellowship. She undertakes tertiary nerve and muscle clinics as well as general neurology clinics in Glasgow and is lead clinician for neuropathy. Her inherited neuropathy clinic has been recognised as a centre of excellence by the CMTA.  She is currently PI of a number of trials in inflammatory neuropathy (CIDP, MMN) and well as myotonic dystrophy.
