Kirsty is a key part of the Headache Team at James Cook Hospital, South Tees Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Although her background is a Paramedic, she supported the formation of the headache service at James Cook in 2024. Working in a collaborative way across the ICB, the service was set up to support more migraine patients and to reduce waiting list across the region. The service consists of one Neurologist, a Specialist Nurse, a Pharmacist and Kirsty, a Paramedic. The service is a great example of a proactive, small multi-disciplinary team working together to manage a caseload with unmet need.
