Prof Ruth Dobson

Clinical senior lecturer, Preventive Neurology Unit, Wolfson Institute of Preventive Medicine, QMUL

Our sincere congratulations go to Dr Ruth Dobson, who has been awarded the Individual Award at the MS Brain Health Awards this year.

The Brain Health Awards were established as a way to celebrate individuals, teams and bodies of work which support the recommendations of the 'MS Brain Health: Time matters' report published in 2018.

Ruth is a clinical senior lecturer in the Preventive Neurology Unit at the Wolfson Institute of Preventive Medicine, QMUL and has recently led publication of the MS in pregnancy expert consensus guidelines (2019) and been instrumental in the recent development of the UK MS Pregnancy register, part of the UK MS register.

The award has been given for her recommendations to improve patient outcomes in both clinical practice and research, particularly in this area of work to support people with MS who are planning for, and starting, their families.
