Denise has been a MS nurse specialist for 20 years but has been in the NHS for 38 years. She currently works within the hospital setting in a busy MS centre based in Bristol. The MS nursing team currently cover from newly diagnosed to palliative care, although the majority of her time is spent with patients initiating on treatment.

Prior to Denise's specialist nurse role she worked on a physically disabled unit that offered slow stream rehabilitation as well as respite care where she looked after a number of people with MS who had advanced disease.

My introduction and insight into this condition stems from a close family friend being diagnosed with PPMS

Denise really enjoys learning and assisting others to learn which is why she is also involved in the INFORMS programme with Merck. I recognise that we are entering a challenging world within the NHS and I hope that this succession planning tool kit will assist
