Dr Janice Murtagh
Dr Janice Murtagh is a Consultant in Geriatric Medicine with a specialist interest in Movement Disorders. She is based at Inverclyde Royal Hospital in Greenock, having previously been a Consultant for 9 years at the Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH) in Paisley. She is Lead Clinician for Older People’s Services and is the Chair of the Greater Glasgow and Clyde Parkinson’s Excellence Network MCN. She has a longstanding interest in Frailty, with particular focus on ‘Frailty at the Front Door’, and in 2013 set up an Older Adult Assessment Unit at the RAH, along with her colleague Dr Oona Lucie. She has an active interest in teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate level and is a facilitator for the ‘Thriving in Medicine’ programme.
