Jon Street
Jon is a Clinical Specialist Neuromuscular Physiotherapist working at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals and the University of Sheffield. He has recently submitted his PhD thesis, focussed on the evaluation and validation of clinical outcome measures for Facioscapulohumeral Dystrophy. Clinically, he has extensive experience across acute Neurology and tertiary Neuromuscular medicine, supporting management of a diverse range of hereditary and acquired muscle and nerve disorders across acute admissions, specialist Physiotherapy and Orthotic outpatient clinics, and dedicated clinical research settings.
As a Clinical Evaluator Jon supports in delivery of a portfolio of early-to-late phase clinical trials evaluating emerging therapeutics for conditions such as CIDP, FSHD, and Myotonic Dystrophy.
In parallel to his clinical trial work, his broader research portfolio focuses on quality of life, and outcome measure development and innovation. He supports collaborations evaluating wearable technologies for digital gait and activity monitoring, optimising objective muscle strength assessment, evaluating physical activity levels, and utilising qualitative methodologies to characterise health-related quality of life metrics for individuals living with various neuromuscular disorders.
