Lynne Osborne
Lynne qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1990, and worked in Orthopaedics for a short time before transferring to acute neurosurgery and neurology within the London area.
She spent seven years as a Clinical Nurse Specialist for Parkinson’s disease and during this time was chairman for the Parkinson’s Disease Nurse Specialist Association (PDNSA). She moved to Cornwall in 2003 to begin a role as a Parkinson’s Consultant Nurse. Lynne has a Master’s degree and is an independent prescriber. She has a small team of Parkinson’s Nurse Specialists who provide community support to the Cornish population.
Lynne has an interest in device assisted therapy options and also in the use of technology to aid treatment options for people with Parkinson’s disease.
She was a member of the NICE development group between 2014 – 2016 assisting with the update of the Parkinson’s NICE guidelines ( NG 71) which was published in 2017.
Lynne facilitates and teaches on the Parkinson’s disease course – “Enhanced Parkinson’s Management” which runs in conjunction with Plymouth University.
