Interested in MS/Demyelination? Want a senior MS clinician/researcher as a mentor?

News

Then please let us know! In partnership with the UK MS Society, Ruth Dobson and Tom Williams are putting together a network of mentors/mentees to help support those interested in the demyelination sub-speciality. This is aimed at trainee clinicians at any level, and will try to match you with someone with the relevant experience. We are particularly keen to hear from people who may not have had experience working in the bigger MS centres, as we know how hard it can be to reach out early in your career.

All that is needed is for you to email thomas.williams@nhs.net with:

  1. Name + email
  2. Current level - clinical grade + research experience (the latter is just to help matching with mentors - we are keen to hear from anyone who might be interested in a career in MS neurology!)
  3. The one key thing you would be looking for guidance on from a mentor (again, just to help with matching e.g. how to tailor training if you are interested in MS, things to consider when thinking about research, how to get a consultant post, work-life balance, the big picture, etc etc!)

Looking forward to hearing from you!
