Course overview

Join us in this Professional Development MasterClass aimed at enhancing dementia diagnosis, management, and care among clinical professionals serving aging Catholic religious communities globally. This is a 6 month virtual course, conducted online via a mixture of interactive and self-directed learning.

Aims & Objectives
  • Equip clinical professionals with evidence-based skills in dementia care to manage the needs of aging Catholic religious orders.
  • Foster a global learning community across diverse regional and cultural contexts within the Catholic vocational context.
  • Encourage Quality Improvement (QI) projects in delegates’ own institutions.
Delegates will be expected to:
  • Complete each module of the course, provided weekly and comprising a video session and additional reading
  • Complete a short self-assessment at the end of each module
  • Attend the final live session and participate actively in the discussion
  • Undertake a small service development project over the course of 6 months around the topic of dementia
  • Present their service development project in the final live meeting
  • Course leaders will be mentors to students throughout the course and for 6 months after the course to support development of dementia services. Course material will be in English. Interactive sessions will be English.
