Alison Foster
I am a senior pharmacist who trained at Strathclyde University doing my degree and then MSc there and am also an independent prescriber who has worked in Ayrshire and Arran for a number of years. I have specialised in many areas including cardiology, care of the elderly and then in the last few years in respiratory. I have had an interest in Parkinson's for some time and was the pharmacist representation on the SIGN guidelines for the diagnosis and pharmacological management of Parkinsons. I really enjoy my job and love working in areas where I feel my pharmacy input can help people better manage their own condition and Parkinsons is one such area.
Out with work I enjoy socialising with family and friends, baking, am a Sunday School leader and am a volunteer doing front of house duties at our local theatre.
