Bhawani Mainali
Bhawani has been a practicing nurse in the UK since 2009 and is registered on the NMC. She has completed an Advance Diploma in Adult Nursing and holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Studies. She is currently studying towards her MSc in Nursing. Bhawani has continued to enhance her leadership and nursing skills though the completion of The Florence Nightingale Foundation Windrush Leadership programme, History Taking and Physical assessment, Bowel management and care, Mentorship Preparation for Healthcare Professionals, Stroke management and care, Preceptorship through Work Based Learning, Venepuncture and Cannulation, Intravenous Drug Administration, Blood Transfusion, Recognition, Early management of Critically Ill Patient and many more. She has nursing experience across a wide variety of fields of health care settings and at present is an MS Clinical Nurse Specialist working for the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust Neuro- Rehab Centre at Edgware Community Hospital. She has had posters of her work presented at the MS Trust Conference UK 2022, Consortium of Multiple Sclorosis Centres (CMSC) Maryland, USA 2022, and ECTRIMS Congress 2022 Amsterdam. During her nursing career, she has received dozens of positive feedback from the patients on the platform ‘Care Opinion’. A word of appreciation from one of the patients was broadcasted in BBC 1 news at 18.30 and 22.30 on the Nurses International Day on 12 May 2020. She is known as ‘life saving nurse’ for many of her patients.
