Dr Bruno Gran is Consultant Neurologist at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. He completed his neurology residency at the University of Florence, where he also obtained a PhD in neuroscience working on T-cell recognition of myelin antigens in MS. He did postdoctoral research work at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke and the University of Pennsylvania in the USA, was Assistant Professor of Neurology at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia from 2003 to 2005, and Clinical Associate Professor of Neurology at the University of Nottingham from 2005 to 2016.

Dr Gran’s research focuses on viral immunopathogenesis of MS and its prevention, currently funded by the Italian MS Society. He is a member of the Neuroimmunology Scientific Panel of the European Academy of Neurology.
