Helen has worked as a GP in Manchester for more than 20years and has always been interested in the care of people with dementia and frailty. She works predominantly in care homes now but also for the Manchester Dementia Research unit

In her role as a clinical lead for GM dementia programme (Dementia United), she has developed an education programme that uses multidisciplinary learning to consider the unique challenges of dementia towards the end-of-life. Helen is a passionate advocate for the autonomy and wellbeing of people with dementia and is currently completing an evaluation of a proactive audiology service for care homes
