Saif Huda is an Honorary Consultant Neurologist at The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust and a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Liverpool. He is the Clinical Lead for the NHS England Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder Highly Specialised Service. His neuroimmunology training includes a DPhil from the University of Oxford and a post CCT clinical fellowship in autoimmune neurology. His research is funded by an NIHR Senior Clinical Research Award. He leads the Clinical Autoimmune Neurology Service at The Walton Centre and the Autoimmune Neurology Laboratory at the University of Liverpool, where he is also Director of the Neuroscience Research Facility. His group’s research focuses on immune tolerance mechanisms and biomarker discovery in autoimmune neurological disease, with particular emphasis on clinical and serological markers that predict relapse risk and long-term prognosis.
