Dr Victoria Haunton
Dr Victoria Haunton graduated from the University of Southampton in 2004 and was subsequently awarded an MD from the University of Leicester in 2014 for her work on cerebral autoregulation in Parkinson’s disease. Victoria is now a Consultant Geriatrician and Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust where she leads the Geriatric Movement Disorders service. She is a working member of the East Midlands Parkinson’s Excellence Network, and is the vice-chair of the British Geriatrics Society (BGS) Movement Disorders Section. She has ongoing research commitments in blood pressure and cerebral blood flow in healthy ageing and neurodegenerative diseases. She has additional research interests in post-operative cognitive decline and ageing physiology. Victoria is the joint NIHR specialty lead for ageing in the East Midlands. She is also an honorary lecturer at Leicester De Montfort University and an associate editor for Age And Ageing.
