James Mack, Senior Charge Nurse, MacMillan Ward, Biggart Hospital, Prestwick, RN, Dip HE(Nursing), PGC Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, MSc with Specialisation in palliative care. I am an experienced nurse, manager and leader. I trained as a nurse in Ayrshire and Arran and have held a variety of educational and development roles within NHS Ayrshire and Arran.

I am committed to patient care, with a specialist interest in End of Life care and strive with the rest of the team in ensuring patients and their loved ones receive the highest quality of care in their final months, weeks, days and hours. I have an interest in Parkinsons and have been involved with Nick in a variety of projects to improve the care of our patients.

Outside of work, as a “Gramps” I enjoy spending time with my 2 grand-daughters and look forward to number 4 arriving in February 2024! I like drawing and golfing whenever the weather and work permits.
