Jenny Ledsam is an MS Service Coordinator at University Hospitals Plymouth, working very closely with Professor Hobart and his team in the diagnosis and management of people with Multiple Sclerosis. Jenny first worked with the MS team at Torbay Hospital for 4 years before moving to become MS Coordinator and Service Line Manager at Derriford Hospital, where she has been an integral member of their team for the past 11 years.

Jenny has gained a vast amount of invaluable experience sitting in on Consultant and Nurse led clinics, setting up specialist neuro-radiology MDT meetings and establishing and overseeing DMT prescription and blood monitoring pathways. She has lead on the appointing, training and management of the admin team, developing SOP’s along the way. Jenny has extended her interest into the field of clinical trials research and has been working closely with the research nurses with the identification, pre-screening and recruitment to trials. She has also initiated and manages the organisation and scheduling of DMT infusions within University Hospitals Plymouth and more recently has spearheaded the new infusion suite set up in Autumn 2021.

Jenny has attended various Raising The Bar MS Academy meetings and was a participant in the MS Leadership Academy course 2020-2021. Jenny is always keen to further her development and knowledge and hopes to take an active part in leading her team as they move to working more collaboratively with the Peninsula MS teams that include Exeter, Torbay and Cornwall.
