John Cashman
Having trained at Southampton University Medical School I completed my general surgical and then orthopaedic higher specialist training in the south-west of England. Fellowships followed in UK, Russia and USA. Having spent 5 years as a consultant based at the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children I then spent a further 8 years working in Malawi in Southern, Central Africa. I returned home to join the paediatric orthopaedic team at Sheffield Children’s Hospital where I mainly deal with neuromuscular disease and upper limb problems in children, although I retain an interest in the management of Clubfoot and musculoskeletal infection.
In my spare time I am an examiner for the Joint Surgical Colleges Orthopaedic Fellowship Examination, a keen water sports enthusiast, mountain biker and Dad – in reverse order.
