Katie joined Parkinson’s UK in May 2018. As part of the Parkinson’s Connect support and information team, she works to strengthen the support pathway between health services (NHS and private) and Parkinson’s UK. In particular, she leads on designing and implementing a direct referral process, to provide a quick and standardised way for healthcare professionals to refer their patients to trusted Parkinson's UK support.

Katie has over 12 years’ communications and engagement experience in the charity and research sectors. She has worked alongside healthcare professionals and clinical researchers throughout her career, in charities and leading research institutes in the UK and Australia.
