Katrina works as a Consultant Physiotherapist in the Spasticity Management and MS Services at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London. She has been in this role for the last 16 years and work as part of an MDT comprising of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and occupational therapists. She undertook her non-medical prescribing training 10 years ago and has also trained to become an injector and have responsibility for physio prescribing and botulinum toxin treatment clinics. Katrina has co-authored 2 chapters in a Spasticity Management book and several publications. She has been involved in a research project investigating a new medication for spasticity in MS and a project collecting data on the use of Sativex in MS. She has a keen interest in splinting and help lead the Splinting Service at NHNN and enjoy running splinting courses and teaching sessions in her spare time!
