Olivia Moswela
Olivia is the Lead Pharmacist for Neurosciences & Neuro-Critical Care at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. She leads a dynamic team of pharmacists and technicians who provide medicines optimisation services for people with neurological conditions in a range of care settings including outpatients, day cases, neurology and neurosurgery inpatients, and neuro-critical care. She has developed roles for specialist pharmacists in migraine CGRP monoclonal antibody and multiple sclerosis (MS) disease modifying therapy (DMT) clinics.
Olivia co-founded and co-leads the Oxford Region MS Specialised Network Multidisciplinary Team (SNMDT), which has a membership of seven MS prescribing centres across four integrated care boards and NHS commissioning hubs aimed to facilitate equitable access to and safe, accountable, and consistent prescribing of MS DMTs across the region. She has been nationally recognised for her work on pre-treatment risk mitigation of infectious complications of MS DMTs and is editor of the Oxford Handbook of Clinical Pharmacy. She is a member of the faculty of Royal Pharmaceutical Society and a committee member of the United Kingdom Clinical Pharmacists Association Neurosciences Group. She is currently pursuing her passion for science and developing a role in MS research.
