Patrizia Baldi was born in Italy, lived in the USA for 8 years, and, in her 40s, moved with her husband and now two teenage daughters to Sheffield, UK, where she works in a research support role at the University of Sheffield and volunteer as a member of a Patient and Public Involvement in research panel.

In March 2023, she was diagnosed with MuSK myasthenia gravis.

Following treatments with intravenous immunoglobulin therapy, Rituximab, and steroids, Patrizia is now almost symptom-free and slowly decreasing the steroid intake.

With some care to pace herself, her life is almost back to what it was before the diagnosis.
