Rashed Suhrawardy
Rashed Suhrawardy is a Dementia Care Specialist and Consultant with over 10 years of practice and experience in dementia care and support, and is the Co-Founder and Secretary General of the Dementia Care Foundation (DCF), Bangladesh, which focuses on Policy Advocacy, Awareness Raising, Dementia Training and Research in Bangladesh. Previously, Rashed was the Head of Dementia in a Sir William Beveridge Foundation (SWBF) and a volunteer at Alzheimer’s Disease International (ADI). He is also the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Probin Seba, a small private care organisation providing in-home care to the elderly. In his voluntary role besides acting as Secretary General of the DFC, he has provided training in Dementia Care, is a regular columnist for the media and looks for opportunities to disseminate information about Dementia and raise the issue at a national level. He continues to be a member of various local and international research projects. His aim is to develop a Dementia movement that aims to improve the quality of life for people with dementia and their families in Bangladesh.
