MS Leaders 2023 cohort announced!
NewsWe are delighted to announce that we have chosen our cohort for the second MS Leaders MasterClass, which begins on 8th February 2023.
From a pool of 24 applicants, the group of 12 was selected by a group of 11 reviewers, all either past delegates or MS Academy faculty members. The process had three stages, the first two of which were entirely anonymous, initially through a scoring system, then independent reviews, before the final group was chosen from this whittled down selection.
The final cohort spans a variety of roles, backgrounds and levels of seniority, and are based in a number of different settings. They include four neurologists, three specialist nurses, two physiotherapists, an occupational therapist, a pharmacist and a speciality trainee. Geographically, there is a good spread, too, with representation from North, South and Mid-England, Wales and Scotland.
The first MasterClass began in 2019, and due to the coronavirus pandemic, took a very different shape than intended!
Last night was the graduation of a 6 month leadership course that lasted nearly 2years. COVID made us closer as a group, taught us more and made such a difference to me (more than was imagined). Thanks to Gabe, Barb, @GavinGiovannoni and @TheNeuroAcademy #lifelonglearners pic.twitter.com/XI3tGMq7mN

Despite - or perhaps because of - this, it was incredibly successful and well received by delegates, and it is our sincere hope that the 2023 MasterClass delegates find it as impactful as that first group did.
