National Neurology Transformation Meeting 2026: on-demand

Virtual

The National Neurology Transformation Meeting 2026 is now available on-demand!

Overview

The NHS is undergoing radical reform, with greater responsibility now sitting with Integrated Care Boards (ICBs). We have also welcomed the launch of the UK Neuro Forum, the first governmental advisory body dedicated to neurology, ensuring national leadership and accountability. Alongside this, the Government’s 10-Year Health Plan for England has set out three major shifts in health and care: from hospital to community, from analogue to digital, and from sickness to prevention. Meanwhile, My Neuro Survey 2025 has once again highlighted the persistence of unwarranted variation and inequities in access to neurological care. This shifting landscape brings both challenges and opportunities. People affected by neurological conditions, clinicians, and commissioners all need clarity on how national ambitions will translate into meaningful, equitable care on the ground.

Session highlights:
  • Inspiring ideas & practical solutions – Hear from leading experts and trailblazers who are shaping the future of neurology, with a strong focus on community-based care. Discover real-world strategies and proven models you can adapt and apply within your own practice, service, or organisation.
  • Actionable insights on health equity – Learn how to tackle inequalities in neurology care, with sessions exploring data-driven approaches, targeted interventions, and community engagement that make a measurable difference for patients and families.

  • Collaboration & networking – Connect with colleagues from across the country, share experiences, and build relationships that last beyond the meeting. You’ll find a welcoming space to exchange ideas and spark new collaborations.

  • Showcasing innovation – Explore the latest developments in digital health, integrated care, and multidisciplinary teamwork. See how others are overcoming challenges and delivering better outcomes for people with neurological conditions.

  • A voice in shaping the future – Your insights matter. NNTM is a platform where every attendee can contribute to the conversation and help set the priorities for the year ahead.

The February 2026 meeting covered:
  • Post-delegation realities – how ICBs are commissioning and delivering specialised neurology services in practice.

  • Seamless transition care – ensuring effective handover from paediatric to adult neurology services.

  • Integrating mental health and neurology – developing neuropsychiatry and psychology pathways within neurological care.

  • Stroke and neurology collaboration – building joint approaches for patient groups with overlapping needs.

  • Improving care for rare and ultra-rare conditions – pathways, commissioning, and access to treatment.

  • Tackling unwarranted variation and inequity – strategies to address disparities identified in Neurology GIRFTand My Neuro Survey.

  • Data-driven service improvement – using analytics to measure impact, target resources, and support decision-making.

  • Scaling successful models – replicating and adapting innovations across different systems.
