Caroline Carmichael is a myasthenia gravis nurse specialist at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, UK.

Following completion of her BA in nursing studies in 2001, Caroline gained extensive experience across multiple acute neurology wards in Glasgow and Australia, including mentoring staff members.

In 2009 she specialised in caring for patients with myasthenia gravis (MG), including setting up a nurse-led support service in hospital and community settings for patients with MG.

Alongside her current role, Caroline has developed her research experience, contributing to a multicentre international Phase II drug trial. She has also been an author of multiple congress publications and manuscripts relating to MG, including fatigue management and MG-specific outcome measures.
