Dr Afagh Garjani is a final-year PhD student and clinical research fellow at University of Nottingham and Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. She completed her neurology training at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Iran. Her current research involves observational studies and analysing epidemiological data to understand the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on people with MS, and she has been working with the UK MS Register and a team at NHS England and NHS Improvement to undertake her COVID-19 and MS research. She is an affiliate principal investigator of the COVID-CNS project. She is also a co-investigator of a few other studies involving neuroimaging in diabetic neuropathy and MS and misdiagnosis of MS.
