New patient-facing resource on falls prevention from Public Health Scotland

A new resource for older people aimed at encouraging movement whilst reducing trips and falls has been produced as a joint initiative from Public Health Scotland and age Scotland.

'Up and about: taking positive steps to reducing trips and falls' is full of practical tips around staying active and mobile, keeping well, and preventing falls through promoting and supporting vision and hearing, bone health, foot care, cognition, medication management and movement choices.

The publication, has several sections and encourages readers to pick and choose as relevant for them.
