Mhairi has worked as an MS Specialist Nurse for many years across different Health Board areas and within the Third Sector. She is passionate about improving services, educating and sharing my knowledge for both those with a diagnosis of MS and with her colleagues working with people affected by MS. Mhairi was instrumental in establishing the Primary Care Conference for Health Professionals which is now an annual event, and is now the co-ordinator for the annual MS Nurse Academy. Mhairi is a member of various committees across the UK including the MS Cross Party Group at the Scottish Parliament .

Mhairi has personal experience of MS with both her mum and niece being diagnosed, and fully understands the impact this can have on the person with the diagnosis and the family and friends that surround them. This is what motivates her to do the best she can for her patients.
