Dr Karen Chung

Dr Karen Chung is a specialist neurology consultant in multiple sclerosis. She qualified in Medicine from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ School of Medicine, London, before completing medical and neurology training in Southampton, Sussex and London. She was awarded an MD(Res) from the University College London (UCL) Institute of Neurology in 2020 for her research work. Her research project, funded by a research grant from the MS Society, looked at the early prognostic markers and long-term outcomes in MS. She has a personal interest in pre-conception and obstetrics care in women with MS, and has set up the MS-obstetrics care pathway at Queen Square. She was awarded a fellowship in the Royal College of Physicians’ Emerging Women Leaders’ Programme in 2020-21.

This project was awarded runner up in the MS Academy MasterClass Project Awards Autumn 2018.
