MasterClass overview
The Headache Service Transformation MasterClass is designed to equip healthcare professionals working across both primary and secondary care with the insights and tools to improve headache and migraine services in a complex and evolving NHS landscape. Delivered over two modules, the programme brings together a multidisciplinary faculty to explore service transformation, integrated care pathways, patient experiences, and the roles of various professionals – including GPs, pharmacists, nurses, and commissioners. Through interactive sessions, case discussions, and examples of innovation, attendees will gain practical strategies to drive sustainable improvements in headache care at local and regional levels.
Intermodule project
Intermodule project: driving local change between modules
A key component of the Headache Service Transformation MasterClass is the intermodule project, which gives participants the opportunity to apply their learning in a practical, locally relevant context. After attending Module 1, delegates will be encouraged to identify an area of improvement within their local headache or migraine service and develop a small-scale service improvement initiative.
This project enables participants to:
Translate national priorities into local action
Test new approaches within their service or pathway
Build confidence in leading change across the system
Contribute to wider learning through shared experience
We believe this element of the programme is critical – it supports real-world transformation and empowers professionals to become active change agents within their own settings.
Participants will present their intermodule projects during Module 2. This second module will serve as a platform to share outcomes, celebrate progress, and reflect on the learning and impact achieved. Selected projects will also be showcased to highlight innovation, with an award presented to the most impactful initiative.
