MS Advanced MasterClass 16 – Module 1

Our most in-depth exploration into the complexities of MS management and treatment, this course is for specialists who want to really hone their expertise and maximise their impact on patient outcomes. If you are a currently prescribing neurologist, a final-year registrar, an experienced MS specialist nurse or allied health professional or a pharmacist working with MS therapies, this course is the next level in learning meets application.

This course is the ultimate in specialism development and requires attendees to have a strong background and experience in MS as a starting point. Ideal for neurologists and healthcare professionals who already have a specialist interest in MS, this course is suited to those who, for example, are currently prescribing or managing patients on disease-modifying treatments (DMTs), are working in a unit that prescribes MS therapies, or are an MS nurse specialist or an allied health professional who has been practicing for at least three years in that role.

Our in-depth and practically-applicable learning tackles specific issues around the management of MS, such as de-risking MS DMTs or tackling the variation in MS care or service access in the UK. Course attendees are already equipped with a strong understanding of MS, including clinical management, patient experience and optimal treatment and service support.

CPD accreditation

We will apply for CPD accreditation from the Royal College of Physicians for MS Advanced MasterClass 16. Subject to confirmation of accreditation, CPD will CPD will be awarded upon completion of Module 2.

The 2021 MasterClass has been approved by the Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom for 28 category 1 (external) CPD credit(s). Full conditions of approval are listed in our guidelines. 12 External credits may be claimed for an MSc or equivalent activity.

Costs & accommodation

The course is fully funded including a travel allowance for clinicians practising in the UK for both modules. There will be a £100 deposit required to secure your place, this will be invoiced to you upon confirmation. This deposit will be refunded within 30 days of you completing both modules of the course. Failure to attend or if you should cancel less than 8 weeks of the course commencement date this will result in the charge of £100. → Terms & conditions for international delegates

We encourage all delegates to attend the MasterClass in person, where you will have the opportunity to connect and network with the MasterClass speakers, faculty, delegates and sponsors. However, should you want to attend virtually, we will be offering a limited number of places for delegates to attend the MasterClass online. Please be assured that we will be following all the government safety advice at the time of the MasterClass.

Module 2: 8-9 December 2022

To complete the course delegates must return for Module 2 where they will present their inter-module project/audit to the Academy.
